Dr Agarwals Group of Eye Hospitals will invest Rs 100 crores in Kolkata in the next two to three years to add new hospitals and modernize the existing ones.
The new hospital in Salt Lake, Kolkata will offer free consultations to patients until February 29th, 2024.
Kolkata, January 25, 2024: Dr Agarwals Group of Eye Hospitals, a renowned name in the healthcare industry, proudly inaugurated its state-of-the-art eye hospital in Salt Lake, Kolkata, on Thursday, January 25, 2024. The grand ceremony witnessed the presence of esteemed dignitaries, including Mrs. Chandrima Bhattacharya, Minister of State of Health and Family Welfare of West Bengal; Dr Ashar Agarwal, Chief Business Officer at Dr Agarwals Group of Eye Hospitals; Dr Kaladevi Sathish, Zonal Head – Clinical Services, Dr Agarwals Group of Eye Hospitals; Mr. Rahul Agarwal – Chief Operating Officer, Dr Agarwals Group of Eye Hospitals; Dr Dipangshu Basu Chaudhuri, Head Clinical Service, Dr Agarwals Eye Hospital, Salt Lake; Dr. Kumar Saurabh, Senior Consultant, Dr Agarwals Eye Hospital, Salt Lake and Actress Ushasi Ray.
 
With an investment of Rs 100 crore earmarked for Kolkata over the next two to three years, Dr Agarwals Group aims to add new hospitals and modernize existing ones, solidifying their commitment to superior eye care in the region.
 
Spacious at 7800 square feet and situated on the first floor of Primarc Square, Salt Lake, Sector 3, this newly constructed facility features state-of-the-art amenities for the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of ocular conditions. The hospital provides complimentary consultations to patients until February 29th, 2024. It offers an extensive range of super speciality services, including cataract, retina, refractive, paediatric, cornea, squint, and glaucoma treatments, among others.  
Patients can avail advanced surgical procedures, including Implantable Collamer Lens (ICL) surgery, LASIK, and Vitreo-retinal surgeries, showcasing the hospital's commitment to providing comprehensive and cutting-edge eye care solutions.
 
On this occasion, Mrs. Chandrima Bhattacharya, Minister of State of Health and Family Welfare of West Bengal, said, “As we witness the inauguration of Dr Agarwals state-of-the-art eye hospital, we commend their commitment to advancing eye care in Kolkata. In his comments, Dr Ashar Agarwal, Chief Business Officer, expressed enthusiasm about the hospital's capabilities, stating, "We are dedicated to enhancing the accessibility and quality of eye care in Kolkata. This facility reflects our ongoing commitment to innovation, expertise, and compassionate patient care. As a group, we are scheduled to open around 30+ hospitals, and 50 eye care clinics in India and abroad by the next financial year"
