Cossipore Club Samannay Samiti (CCSS) organised a grand cultural program

Staff Reporter, 15th April, 2023: Cossipore Club Samannay Samiti (CCSS) organised  a grand cultural program on the auspicious occasion of Bengali New Year on 15th of April, at Mahajati Sadan to pay our tribute to the pioneers of Bengali language and literature. 

The name of the program is 'Borsho Borone Bornoporichoy', which  is a tribute to the legendary book 'Bornoporichoy', created by Iswar Chandra Vidyasagar, to remind every Bengali about their  first encounter with the Bengali language and Bengali alphabates.

The purpose of the program is to celebrate the Bengali Culture and traditions. The event is a journey down memory lane and to explore affection to wards our mother tongue.

The programme was  inaugarated by Sri Biman Bandopaddhay Hon'ble speaker, West Bengal Legislative Assembly and Sri Bratya Basu, Hon'ble Minister of Education, Govt. of West Bengal in presence of Dr. Manas Ranjan Bhuinya, Hon'ble Minister in Charge and Dr. Sashi Panja, Hon'ble M.I.C. and Chairperson of our organisation.

The cultural programme consisted of songs, recitations and dance performances by the leading performers of West Bengal, namely Monomay Bhattacharya, Nachiketa Chackraborty, Srikumar Chattopadhyay, Pandit Bickram Ghosh, Pandit Debajyoti Ghosh, Sriradha Banerjee, Rupankar Bagchi, Lopamudra Mitra etc.
