Speaking on the unveiling of her second book, Shobdo Bilasi, Anuradha Mazumdar said, “This book grew out of moments of observation, silence and lived experience. Each poem carries a thought that stayed with me long enough to ask for expression. Writing in Bengali was instinctive, because this language allows me to speak with honesty and emotional depth. Through Shobdo Bilasi, I wanted to bring together personal reflection and social reality in a way that feels true to my journey.”
Published by Sobdoguchha Prakashana, Shobdo Bilasi marked Anuradha Mazumdar’s second step into the world of writing and signalled a clear evolution in her poetic voice. Through a range of themes and forms, the collection moved seamlessly between introspection and social awareness, capturing emotional honesty without losing literary depth. The book positioned itself as a contemporary reflection of lived experience, while underscoring the publisher’s role in bringing forward meaningful voices in Bengali literature.
